Armed

1941, newspapers printed war had been declared. war_edited-1

World War II was upon us.

2000 B.C. Moses wrote “…for dust you are and to dust you will return…, So the Lord God banished him (Adam) from the Garden of Eden to work the ground from which he had been taken.” (Genesis 3:19 and 23)

Sin was upon us.

The battle began.

It has never ended.

It never will.

How do we survive?

I found Ephesians 6:10-18 again:

“Finally, be strong in the Lord and his mighty power.  Put on the full armor of God so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes…Therefore put on the full armor of God so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. Stand firm then with…

Lives are saved because of protection.

Battles are won by preparation.

Are you prepared for today?

What about tomorrow?

Battles will always come.

Do you want to be ready?

Read The Word (belt of Truth)

Live in honesty and integrity (breastplate of righteousness)

Study scripture (feet of readiness)

Believe in the One true God (shield of faith)

Cover yourself in prayer (helmet of salvation)

Keep The Word on your tongue (sword of the Spirit)

And when you do, protection will arrive. Your strength will increase and your foes will fall.  Sin will not keep its grip. The victory will be yours!

Abba, Lord, protect us—your daughters (and sons).  We know we are in the battle against sin daily.  Sin, which entered this world through Adam’s decision and masks itself in many forms. Sin—that ravages bodies with diseases and ailments.  Sin—that separates children and parents.  Sin—that causes families to break.  Remind us we may be gentle women, but are warriors with strength from You. Help us dress for war and stand firm in Your mighty power. Clothe us with Your protection. Arm us for the fight.  Keep us ever vigilant. Protect us in the battle.

Thank you Lord.  Amen.

    Hi Renae,
I absolutely love this scripture…my favorite. Our battles will come, some require more of the defensive dress than offensive style for sure! Either way I know when I go to His closet first I’ll be prepared and protected selecting His armor which covers both! I know that His wardrobe provides what I need to stand my ground and that through Him I am able to face the day and whatever battles await!
And like others have said, I too love the way the Lord speaks to us through you and Raye and want you both to know I appreciate these posts and thank you for sharing your time and love for Him. Loveya, Cissy

    1. HI Cissy!
I was gone for a few days and just saw this message. Thank you so much for commenting.
You are so right, His closet provides both offensive and defensive clothing. A must for every season. Our battles are big, and small, and preparation will always lead to a winning outcome–HIS!! We so appreciate your words of encouragement to us and your support. Thanks for stopping by. Luv ya, too.

Ah! That was awesome!! Love the correlation to your own life and personal experience in battle too! I love your messages and the way God speaks to us through you… I love and miss you!!

    1. Thank you Shirl! One way or the other we enter battle every time we open our eyes in the morning, don’t we? It’s just the “uniform” that changes! wink, wink. Thank you for your kind words. Have a blessed day!

AMEN! What a great prayer to start the day. I need to do this daily to keep up my armor against the devil so not to allow him any room to do work in my life.

    1. Yes Lori, we forget we need to keep a prayer of battle daily for our own readiness. I think we would stand firmer if we did. Have a victory led day!!
