Inspire: We’re Making This Complicated
“I have loved you even as the Father has loved me. Remain in my love. When you obey my commandments, you remain in my love, just as I obey my Father’s commandments and remain in his love. 11 I have told you these things so that you will be filled with my joy. God gives us one task, one task only…
Remain in Him.
That’s it.
That’s all we are called to do.
Everything else comes behind that; and everything else flows from that.
At His choosing.
At His timing.
At His directing.
There isn’t a single, solitary, minute thing we can do to speed it up or figure it out.
In our modern lives of busyness we lose sight of just being because we get caught in the swirl of doing.
We’re making our faith complicated.
We’re making our following complicated.
We don’t have to.
Let us put aside the long list of what we think needs to get done and just focus on what can get done. What can get done, is simply abiding in Christ.
